We grew by adding materials, not markets.
Bothwin has been making polymer sheet, matting and belting in Qingdao since 1997. We are not a trading company with a catalogue — we run three production lines across 1,995 m², with two R&D engineers and three QC inspectors on staff.
The company started with PVC strip curtains — a simple product with an awkward problem: the same doorway needs a different compound depending on whether there is food behind it, whether it freezes, and whether a forklift goes through it twice an hour.
Customers kept asking for the next thing on the same purchase order: the matting inside the door, the belt on the line behind it, the sheet for the machine guard. Fifteen years later that is five material families, and most orders still start with one product and grow.
Being thirty people is not a limitation we apologise for. It means the person who quotes your order can walk to the line and look at it. Custom work is the main service here, not an exception routed through a committee.
What we are not. We do not operate overseas warehouses, we do not publish a stock list, and we will not claim a certification we cannot produce. If that is what you need, we are the wrong supplier — and it is better to know now.
Four phases, one direction.
Each phase was driven by a customer's purchase order, not by a strategy deck.
Strip curtains
The founding product: clear and amber PVC strips, cut to doorway width, in DOP and later DOTP formulations.
Rubber matting and belting
Customers running farms, quarries and cement lines added stall mats, gym tiles and chevron belts to the same orders.
Entrance matting
Coil mat and S-mat, largely for commercial property and food retail — the same buyers, a different floor.
Sheet, film and profiles
Supporting materials for fabrication and conveyor maintenance: clear sheet, protective film, seals and pulley lagging.
Three regions, one export desk.
Our main markets are North America, South Asia and Western Europe. Documentation, packing marks and labelling are prepared per destination rather than per product.
Ask us something specific.
A spec, a standard, a sample request — the answer comes from the plant floor, not a call centre.
